Description
Summary: Responsible for the inspection of incoming, processed, and out-going products including verification of conformance with steel industry and customer specifications.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Performs and records visual and dimensional inspections.
- Interprets blueprints for inspection processes i.e. inspection plans.
- Assist with quality training in inspection equipment, policies and procedures.
- Read and log data through Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Assist Operations Manager in investigations of process related to quality issues.
- Write non-Conforming Material Reports when required and quarantining products that have been rejected by QA.
- Provides samples and communication to QA concerning quality issues when required.
- Assist Quality Engineer with ISIR, PPAP, and capability studies.
- Ability to Support ISO 9001:2015 practices and procedures across workforce.
- Completes accurate records (on paper and electronic data) to provide excellent results of data requested.
- Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase the quality of work.
- Support inventory accuracy. Reporting non-conforming to supervisors.
- Work with purchasing on mill returns/credits.
- Work with Operations Manager on customer returns on material dispositions.
- Review all cut orders and attach prints and inspection sheets.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both.

- Knowledge of quality procedures, processes and auditing techniques
- Knowledge of company product lines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
