Alternative Learning Environment Instructor (CTE)

Salary: $49,202 - $69,480, commensurate with experience

Work Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00-2:45

Location: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson Falls, NY

A dedicated alternative learning environment (ALE) multipurpose space to meet the needs of all students. WSWHE BOCES Code of Conduct and Progressive Discipline Model; incorporate restorative practices and social emotional learning strategies; and deliver MTSS-I Tiered interventions and student success plans.

• Support students' individual academic, career/postsecondary and social emotional goals;

• Deliver a variety of researched-based positive student management and instructional strategies that are effective for improving student outcomes;

• Develop individual academic support plans;

• Promotes student-centered practices to improve teaching and learning and outcomes for all students;

• Provides tiered intervention strategies as an integral member of the CTE MTSS-I, Student Success Teams and Data Teams;

• Attend TRIAD Team meetings and incorporate culturally responsive, inclusive …

• Track student progress and adapt intervention methods in collaboration with classroom instructors to meet varying abilities and learning styles;

• Maintain accurate records for monitoring student progress, and other data;

• Participate in professional development activities;

• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and parents;

• Implement BOCES policies, procedures and State Education Department mandates;

• Other duties as assigned.

  
  

• NYS certified or certifiable in ELA 7-12; or

• NYS certified or certifiable in Math 7-12; or

• NYS certified or certifiable in School Counseling; or

• NYS certified or certifiable in Special Education 7-12
