WT Equipment is an agricultural and light construction equipment dealership with 8 locations in Arkansas and Louisiana. Some of the major brands we offer include New Holland, Bobcat, Case, Vermeer, Bush Hog, and Hustler. The dealership has been family owned since 1973. We pride ourselves in offering our customers the best products to meet their equipment and service needs.
WT Equipment is looking for a dedicated Service Writer for their Service Department to act as a liaison between the company and their customers. The Service Writer's responsibilities include ensuring the customer's needs are filled, coordinating transactions between WT Equipment and the customer, and performing time estimates for those transactions. The Service Writer will track repairs and the causes of problems, assign the most appropriate Service Technician, and invoice the customer, internal, and warranty repairs.
To be a successful Service Writer, you should possess excellent customer service skills. You should also have the ability to translate customer's non-technical descriptions and relate them in a comprehensive and thorough report to the service team.
Service Writer Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting Customers
- Writing work orders with complete and accurate information, including serial numbers, model numbers, and hours.
- Tagging customer equipment as it comes in
- Keeping track of work orders
- Calling customers with updates on their equipment
- Closing tickets and collecting money
- Make sure customer information is up to date
- Answer phone
- Good working knowledge of computers is a must
Service Writer Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Work experience and product knowledge may be advantageous
- Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong record keeping skills
- The ability to understand and relate technical issues to the service team from customer's non-technical descriptions
- Bilingual a plus
