The System Administrator/Help Desk Technician will play a dual role in managing and supporting our clients' IT environments. This position combines proactive system administration with day-to-day troubleshooting and end-user support. The ideal candidate is an adaptable problem-solver who excels in both technical expertise and customer-facing interactions.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
• Monitor, maintain, and manage client networks, servers, and systems.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and reliability.
• Configure and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
• Diagnose and resolve advanced network and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new systems, upgrades, and migrations.
• Manage and deploy security solutions, including antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Help Desk Support
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Assist users with software installations, configurations, and updates.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for tickets, solutions, and processes.
• Educate clients on IT best practices and provide basic training when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an MSP environment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools, such as NinjaRMM.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
