Full-Time/Part-Time Un Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Un Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Un Armed Security Officer will utilize their training in law enforcement and conflict management to ensure the safety of the premises. This is for a none smoking campus,

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to identify potential threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure safety within the facility.
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment for security breaches or hazards.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary, providing detailed reports of incidents.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism risks.

Requirements

• Valid armed security officer license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Proficient in using surveillance equipment including CCTV systems.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check and any required training or certification processes.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• On call
• Overnight shift
• Weekends as needed

• Customer service: 1 year (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Waynesville, NC 28785: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
