The Facilities Specialist's primarely responsabilities include repairs and maintenance of all functional and cosmetic aspects of Wu Yee facilities.
Skills and responsabilities:
- Proficiency with power and hand tools.
- Repair and provide maintenance of all functional and cosmetic aspects of center's physical plant.
- Perform painting, taping, patching walls, sanding, caulking, light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement and fixture installation in multiple locations.
- Ensure maintenance of minor electrical and plumbing needs.
- Purchase materials used in the job function on a cost conscience basis.
- Submit monthly expediture forms detailing items purchased.
- Ability to effectively communicate to Chief Operations Manager, Assistant Project Manager and Center Managers.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize maintenance and repair work.
- Accountable for submitting appropriate expense forms.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environement.
- All other duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in construction, carpentry, building maintenance and/or handyman capacity.
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Abililty to lift in excess of 50 Lbs, and, stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items. Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool.
Compensation and Benefits:
- A competitive salary starting at $33.00-$39.00/hour
- Fully paid employee health, dental, and vision.
- 403b with matching contribution after 1 year.(10%)
- Wellness program stipend of $250.00 per month
- 13 holidays, 10 days vacation, and paid sick leave.
