The HR Representative acts as crucial liaison between employees and the HR department, managing onboarding, benefits, and employee records, while also addressing queries, enforcing policies, and supporting recruitment efforts.
HR Representative Primary Responsibilities
- Acts as a first contact for any employee questions regarding HR issues
- Counsels staff on issues, rules, and regulations related to human resources management
- Assists in administration of compensation program
- Works with external recruiter and hiring managers with facilitating recruitment process
- Leads administration of onboarding requirements for new hires including clearances and orientations
- Assist in the administration of Wu Yee’s benefits programs
- Acts as liaison with insurance broker
- Monitors expenditures to include review, reconciliation and payment of all insurance invoices
- Prepares and maintains employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance, confidentially and prompt filing
- Coordinates payroll actions relating to new hires, compensation changes, promotions, disciplinary actions, FMLA, and Worker's Compensation programs.
- Processes FMLA; process and monitors worker's compensation claims
- Organizes exit interviews for terminating employees
- Assists in development of new programs and services as they relate to Human Resources
- Assists in processing and investigating employee grievances and prepares recommendations for resolution
- Assists in planning, developing, revising, and implementing human resources policies, procedures and forms.
- Prepares and maintains various human resources correspondence and reports
- Communicates and disseminates human resources policies and procedures
- Ensures that each location has current required legal posting
- Acts as a Safety Officer, coordinating all safety committee meetings and staff trainings.
- Coordinates and monitors all compliance trainings.
- Coordinates human resources activities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
HR Representative Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred
- Minimum of two years of human resources experience
- Well versed in managing and promoting employee relations
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management and of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations.
- Experience and skill in conducting investigations.
- Proficient in Google and MS Suites;
- Skill in preparing reports, forms and spreadsheets.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with agency personnel and the public
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English
- Verbal competency in Spanish language required

- A competitive salary of $72,281 - $78,921 annually.
