Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our team as a contractor. In this role, you’ll oversee tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping operations, ensuring compliance with IRS standards and providing exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in tax and financial management with a commitment to precision and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations.
- Oversee bookkeeping functions, including managing client accounts and financial records.
- Meet with new and existing clients to assess financial needs and provide tax and accounting guidance.
- Support staff with complex accounting tasks and account management as needed.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support client decision-making.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required for EAs).
- Active CPA license or EA certification in good standing.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Prior experience in tax preparation and accounting within a CPA or tax firm.
