Position Overview:
Woodstock Union High School is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and experienced Varsity Boys Soccer Coach to lead the program for the 2025 season and beyound. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of soccer, experience coaching at the high school level, and a commitment to creating a positive, competitive, and educational environment for student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective training sessions and drills for the varsity soccer team.
- Organize and oversee team practices, games, and tournaments.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude among players.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices, games, and travel.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration.
- Maintain a strong focus on sportsmanship, academic success, and character development.
- Assist with scheduling, equipment management, and other team-related responsibilities.
- Follow all VPA and school district rules, regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching high school soccer or equivalent playing/coaching experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate athletes both on and off the field.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing high school soccer.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check and comply with all school and athletic department policies.
