Position Summary:
Assemble, wire, and test electronic devices including, but not limited to elevator emergency phones, control pendants, and various electrical devices.
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
- Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).
- Perform assembly of electronic devices using assembly instructions, bills of material, and wiring diagrams.
- Read and understand various types of drawings including wiring diagrams, schematics and electrical and mechanical CAD drawings.
- Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Use necessary programming software and electronic test equipment.
- Identify and select components from a bill of material.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic devices.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Perform First Article Inspections on finished goods to ensure a high level of quality.
- Test functional performance of electronic devices.
- Ensure that all work is completed within production standards with a focus on quality.
- Adherence to company core values.
- Full-time/in-person attendance is an essential function of this job.

Technical Skills:
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Soldering experience (preferred)
- Aptitude for learning company ERP, Epicor.
- Strong computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office.

Education & Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a related position
- Experience in a manufacturing facility.
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Environment:
This role primarily operates in a climate-controlled environment and noise levels may be moderate. Sitting for long periods of time, periodic standing, crouching, grasping/gripping, picking/pinching, pulling, reaching, squatting, may be required in this position. This role requires frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. and requires the use of hand tools, electrical test equipment, and soldering irons. Communicating is often necessary in carrying out job duties, near visual acuity, and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech. This role is not eligible to considered for remote work.
