Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties and responsibilities include meeting sales and profit objectives for finishing products.
- Administer, communicate, and develop business plans with sales and management for complete line of finishing products within respective territory and or branch.
- Lead and coordinate sales efforts on finishing products within area of responsibility.
- Working with OSRs for target account development in each territory.
- Review sales goals and accomplishments with sales force and management monthly through scheduled meetings with OSRs and RSMs.
- Prospect and sell directly into territory as well as accompany OSRs on frequent Ride-a-Longs.
- Plan and conduct finishing seminars with assistance from MLC account managers for the end user customer and distributor sales force.
- Respond to leads regarding MLC products, spray equipment, or sundries for wood finishing.
- Coordinate with OSR, demo of MLC products, spray equipment or finish sundry items at targeted or existing customers.
- Handle end user complaints and concerns when outside of the scope of the OSRs capabilities.
- Review OSRs initial sales call one on one and decide the appropriate MLC product to demo to end users.
- Assist OSRs with producing Finishing Profile Sheets in an effort to teach them how to ask the qualifying questions around coatings and sundries within a potential finish account.
- Help OSRs to sell vertically within finishing accounts (Leverage your value as LS to help the OSR get other business).
- Provide leadership and training with customers and Würth employees (Internal Staff Development)
- Train and Lead Tint Specialists (get familiar with S.O.Ps/ Reduce Risk)
- Develop and Maintain Branch Training calendars
- Stay up to date with new finishing technologies (Train the Trainer- Push back to sales internally.)
- Provide guidance and support for OSRs.
- Communicate to MLC Finishing Manager, RSM’s, and Sales Directors on growth initiatives, current market conditions, and also educate the sales force and end users on different spray equipment and sundries sold by the distributor for finishing applications.

- Competitive activities- Share any and all qualified information with sales and Management.
- Monthly staff meetings with assigned territory staff to include sales reporting against goals set with OSRs and RSMs, market conditions, sales initiatives, etc… Reviewing quarterly. Goals and branch metric reports (provided by LM, RSM)
Planning
- In conjunction with MLC Finishing Manager and OSR, help to develop short and long term strategies that provide guidance and direction towards achieving territory, specialists and regional sales objectives for finishing products (Quarterly Sales Strategy Meetings with OSRs and branch RSMs).
- Analyze Coatings Market and area of responsibility with MLC Finishing Manager quarterly as well as current sales status and projections to goals.
- Develop measurable goals and objectives with each territory representative (Example top territory targets (declining sales, existing, top potential and most profitable opportunities.)
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient with Salesforce and MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to multi-task
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, prefer some college in business related studies
- 5 years of sales-related experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing company
