What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at Wurth Group?
In collaboration with our strategic customers / subsidiaries we have a Sales Manager opportunity designed for a high-performer with 3 years of experience in either of the following areas : business development, category management, key account management, procurement, or product management.
Through innovative and strategic endorsements, you will partner with the Product Management, Customer Relations, and Supply Chain teams to assist the Wurth companies in identifying opportunities for growth for the Wurth brand in the Americas and translate those ideas into actionable strategies to acquire new customers and sell additional products or services to existing ones.
As a Sales Manager you will have the opportunity to be involved in projects dealing with the highest level of business operations across our Wurth-line business area, five global divisions (Metal, Auto, Wood, Industry, and Construction) and corporate functions. The Sales Manager will pitch products and / or services across diverse Wurth subsidiaries and industries to help create value for their end customers.
You will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining a long term customer relationship with the key account / s you are in charge of. You will lead the matters of your account from acquisition until product launch and beyond and drive the company performance to ensure customer satisfaction. Based on the account strategy, you will involve a cross functional team to new business development and will maintain and strengthen the customer relationship. Beyond that you will analyze and interpret current market trends, review possible impacts, and discuss these within the cross-functional teams.
Sales Management :
- Pro-active approach to problem solving, participation and involvement with customers, vendors and colleagues, familiarity with products and marketing strategies, understanding of long term company goals and how to achieve them in the short and long term.
- Create a Marketing Plan based on customers marketing plan and support the customer in planning yearly promotions and sales growth programs
- Place and roll out of new products / projects : Support customers with the integration of new products into product range(s) for defined markets. Manage a program from initial planning, tactical activities, and launch, including defining short-term and long-term sales forecasts following stablished process including logistics topics
- For new programs, plan together with customers and product management all pre-launch activities including : samples, product testing, legal requirements and sales / customer training etc.
- For existing programs, plan together with customers and product management promotions and marketing activities to increase sales
- Proactively organize and participate in customer visits, writing meeting minutes, update customer project list and consistent follow up
- Participates in continued education to learn about existing and new products and improved sales techniques
- Perform benchmark analysis with other customers and identify new leads and potential new markets
- Participate actively on ride along with customers' sales force (at least 4 times per year)
- Pitching products and / or services.
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations and coordinate offers and review brochures with Graphics Design
- Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills

Gather all necessary information about goods needed to support new programs, features, offers and ensure that sufficient inventory is on hand at time of launch and after in coordination with the other departments
Gather and share competitive intelligence information and implications specific to your customers
Define, execute and / or monitor specific performance metrics (KPI) and goals relevant to each customer relationship
Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience; identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
