Position Summary:
A Tint Specialist provides customer service in the form of color matching stains/paints/glazes. Will work alongside the Lacquer Specialist and follow their direction. The Tint Specialist will also be responsible for making sure the Lacquer orders get pulled and put on the trucks properly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mixing and Matching of Stains and Pigmented Lacquers
- Perform required quality control checks for all outgoing tinted items
- Maintain in-depth and detailed records of colors developed as outlined in the Tint Station Operations Manual
- Stocking Items
- Supporting Lacquer Specialist and Sales Team
- Pull, Catalyze, Shake and stage truck orders for Finish
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Keep accurate log of any pour offs of bad material and deposit into the waste drum and keep it labeled appropriately
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge or Experience in working with Lacquer/Colors/Stain development
- Ability to see color (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow)
- Knowledge of wood products such as species, plywood, lumber
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
