Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of various accounting functions and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
Duties
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Conduct account reconciliation for both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Manage governmental accounting processes as required by regulatory standards.
- Assist in corporate accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Prepare tax documents and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and support audits as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Proficient in general ledger accounting and corporate accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
