Position Summary
This position provides strategic leadership and program oversight for West Virginia’s state opioid response (SOR) project. Oversees community-based SOR treatment grants who perform related work under SOR.
Responsible for developing collaborative efforts among partnering agencies, with an emphasis on the expansion of medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and services to high-priority populations, including but not limited to:
- Pregnant and parenting women and their children and families
- IV drug users
- People with or at high risk for developing infectious diseases
- Treatment provider professional development
Position duties include but are not limited to complying with federal grant requirements, enhancing the state’s opioid use treatment infrastructure, and expanding access to evidence-based MOUD strategies and services for people with opioid use disorder.
The position monitors external sub-grantee staff and provides technical assistance and training statewide to sub-grantees and community organizations to promote positive program outcomes. Extensive collaboration with stakeholders is required. The other duties assigned in this field are assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.
Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, two years of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
Substitution: Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.

Pay: $48,098.00 - $84,558.00 per year
