Summary:
The Manager will be responsible for and hands on participation with, set-up events, scheduling of staff, maintenance, snow removal/salting, repair of all types of building systems, trucks and equipment and plumbing, doors, fixtures and light construction type work. Floor scrubbers and finish work, and all janitoral duties. Ensure all operate safely and at optimum efficiency. This is a working supervisor role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair, modify, and oversee all work including vehicle and equipment repair.
- Manager is required to be on call and has the responsibility to ensure proper coverage is assigned 365 days a year.
- May be required to work more than 40 hours (on occasion) weekly as needed.
- Operate and inspect machines and all equipment including scissor lift and/or other lifting equipment.
- Diagnose and/or identify minor mechanical defects in gas and diesel-powered engines, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other equipment.
- Solicit bids, oversee contractors work as needed
- Understand and follow safety procedures.
- Perform projects and other duties assigned.
Qualification:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred. Vocational school or other training preferred.
- 2-3 years of related experience required.
- Ability to supervise and participate as a leader in all work.
- Knowledge of tools and methods of the related trades.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from direction of other.
- Ability to perform minor repair and maintenance on a variety of systems.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions; function effectively as part of a team; ability to work under pressure; communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, take initiative, and problem solve while maintaining attention to detail.

While performing the duties of the job. the employee is regularly required to stand, sit , kneel, walk, talk, see, hear, push, pull, climb, bend and stoop. The employee frequently is required to stand (for up to 8 hours), walk (occasionally on rough terrain/in varying weather conditions), climb, use manual dexterity to operate tools used in the course of work, hear sufficient to hear conversations in person and via telephone and radio. and vision sufficient for distance sight and to read diagrams, manual reports, rules, regulations, laws and plans. The employee is occasionally to reach, push and pull with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Physical dexterity may involve stretching, proper placement of legs, and use the arms and hands in repetitive motions. The employee must be able to maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities occurring at the site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment and the movement of mobile equipment.
