Accounting Technician 3- Ohio County

Nature of Work

Under general supervision, perform complex accounting responsibilities related to client finances and worker expenditures. Must manage time-sensitive client finances related to billing assistance with clothing, utility, TANF vouchers, and indigent burial assistance. Aid family assistance in reconciling their travel expenses and P-Card purchases. Aid Operations with switchboard, receptionist, mail, obtaining contracts, ordering office supplies, etc. Must work closely with State Auditor's office, State Fiduciary office, Social Security office, and State vendors. Must efficiently maneuver department electronic programs and adhere to department polices. Complete related duties as required.

Covering Brooke/Hancock/Ohio Counties.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or the equivalent.

Experience: Three (3) years of full time or equivalent part time paid bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience.
Substitution: Successful completion of college-level accounting courses from an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of three semester hours equals six months experience;
OR
Successful completion of related business school or vocational training may be substituted for the experience through an established formula.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,533.00 - $53,916.00 per year
