MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- HVAC Technician License
- Five (5) years’ experience with refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling controls, and air quality standard/regulations
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- High School education or equivalent
- Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational HVAC needs of the department and facility.
- Responsible for environmental conditions of the air quality, temperatures affects the health and wellbeing of patients, visitors, and employees.
- May supervise tasks of other facility workers by allocation and coordinating workflow, training, and advising in more complex phases of assignments.
- Provides preventive maintenance and repair work throughout the hospital on HVAC systems.
- Has access to, and is responsible for, performing assigned duties in locked medication rooms. This position is aware that they are not responsible for medications, and they should report any unsecured medications to a licensed professional.
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb and work off of ladders, scaffolding or electric lifts and operate basic manual cleaning equipment
- Maintain established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environment, infection and hazardous material control.
- Cognizant of environmental factors, infection control issues and maintains a safe environment for patient care.
- Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the Department and Medical Center.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with patients, visitors and staff.
- Ability to organize and prioritize time and tasks to achieve a well-coordinated work effort and to effectively meet work schedules including an ability to integrate multiple factors which may have an impact on patient care.
