Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a highly skilled healthcare provider who works collaboratively with physicians to deliver comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health assessments of patients and their families, identifying real or potential acute and chronic health problems.
- Establish medical diagnoses and record necessary health appraisal data to maintain, coordinate, and expedite required services.
- Act as a resource for staff, implementing educational programs to improve patient management.
- Participate in the development and review of written clinic policies.
- Provide services in accordance with clinic policies, arranging referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient health records and participate in periodic reviews.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master's degree in Nursing.
- BLS Certification, with additional Advanced Life Support training available.
- Ability to work closely with patients, doctors, nursing staff, and families, adapting to prescribed hospital and nursing standards.
