Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study. AND two (2) years of Supply Chain experience. OR
Preferred Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP)
- Four years of Supply Chain experience in a healthcare environment
- Oversees annual and periodic inventory counts
- Perpetual Inventory: Supervises the on-going implementation of perpetual inventory of all the high dollar locations such as the Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, Diagnostic Imaging and others as identified.
- Prioritizes workload to manage multiple priorities.
- Works with limited supervision; provides guidance and coaching to less experienced team members.
- Analyze and trend clinical supply cost, spend, and utilization data, with a particular focus on high cost clinical products.
- Provides assistance in problem identification and resolution of daily operation problems within required time frames.
- Work closely with OR leadership and staff to maintain OR storeroom, reorder points, and ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Supervise compliance of storage regulations and guidelines as defined by policy, regulatory directives and accrediting agencies recommendations.
- Interact on a daily basis with Procure to Pay dept. to ensure that accurate and timely orders are submitted and reconciled.
- Engage clinical and non-clinical staff regularly to determine items for PAR levels and items appropriate to be stored on-site.
- Maintains inventory turns as defined by departmental goals.
- Works with departments to establish and maintain PAR levels, both stock and non-stock.
- Serve as the administrator for electronic implant and tissue tracking system.
- Conducts training for entity staff regarding proper inventory order and inventory tracking processes.
- Responsible for supervision of team, including hiring, performance, and corrective action.
- Develop and implement operational policies within Supply Chain and the systems used.
- Requires prolonged sitting and time on feet, some bending, stooping and stretching.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports.
- Work is performed in an office and perioperative services environment
- Work may be stressful at times.
- Proven skills in project management, software implementation, training, and people management.
- Familiar with using computerized applications including accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Demonstrates ability to recognize and solve basic hardware and software problems.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Maintains a high degree of customer service commitment with the ability to communicate data in front of diverse groups.
- Have a solid working knowledge of inventory management, receiving and purchasing theories.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods, purchasing. contracting, receiving of medical supplies, services, and hospital operations
