Additional Job Description:
WVU Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to practice at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients.
Qualifications: Candidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
- Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- CNOR Certification required.
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
- Eligible new graduates will be considered.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.
- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- Emergency Medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
