Job Summary
The MRI Technologist performs complex and elaborate MRI procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. This position requires a strong understanding of MRI procedures and safety protocols, as well as excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Performs MRI procedures with high accuracy and efficiency
- Maintains proper magnetic field safety requirements
- Delegates and evaluates the delivery of care given by peers and other healthcare team members
- Participates in self-evaluation and professional development
- Educates orientees, ancillary staff, and students on MRI procedures and safety protocols
Requirements
- Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI within 1 year of hire
- West Virginia State Licensure as MRI Technologist or MRI Apprentice, or applicable state licensure where services will be performed
- One (1) year experience in MRI
- Strong knowledge of MRI procedures and safety-issues, organization skills, communication skills, computer skills, and multi-tasking
