What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Manager, Signature Service Line Patient Concierge Services position at WVU Medicine?
Functions as the primary clinical administrative leader for the Signature Service Line’s patient navigation (concierge) program that cares for patients from in and out of state. This role manages the overall program, and is responsible for the financial, administrative, and operational performance. This also includes translating strategic objectives, processes and procedures into effective actions to ensure comprehensive and personalized care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE :
1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
2. Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses, or appropriate state board where services will be provided, as a registered professional nurse OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
EXPERIENCE :
1. Three (3) years of experience in a health care setting.

7. Ensures medical practice and communications with patients and family members follows applicable regulations, i.e., CLIA, OSHA, Medicare, etc.
8. Coordinate all clinical and support (non-clinical) needs for patients and families followed by the concierge program.
9. Demonstrates and promotes a high regard for the dignity, respect and safety of all patients, family members, visitors and personnel. Maintains the confidentiality of patients, family members and the health care team.
10. Resolves patient care issues as identified. Reviews outcomes and evaluates operational systems to ensure ongoing improvement.
11. Implements a clear communications process with all relevant stakeholders and serves as a liaison by establishing and maintaining open lines of communication.
12. Effectively manage the RN coordinator team and associated staff to promote top notch care and care coordination.
13. Creates a work environment that promotes continuous quality improvement, team building and ongoing personal development. Promotes teamwork, contributing to employee morale.
14. Selects, hires, manages and evaluates the effectiveness of employees on a continuous basis.
15. Performs performance evaluations that provide objective, constructive feedback regarding strengths and opportunities for improvement for the employees of the program,
16. Coaches and counsels to correct identified performance deficiencies. Establishes goals, and provides follow up within established Human Resources policies.
17. Ensures the full team is compliant with policies and processes, and ensures staff meets the established access and service standards.
18. Fosters a competent staff through the provision of orientation, in-services, continuing education programs and professional development.
19. Promotes and contributes positively to organizational relationships.
20. Approves and maintains payroll documents. Analyzes trends to develop long range plans for budget needs.
