About The Opportunity
Serves as a researcher in the field of organic synthetic chemistry of advanced bioimaging probes (EPR/NMR) at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy at West Virginia University.
A position is available in Dr. Driesschaert’s group in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at West Virginia University, School of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will work on the synthesis and characterization of spin traps for biomedical electron paramagnetic resonance applications. Candidates with an interest in organic chemistry and analytical chemistry are encouraged to apply.

- Preliminary evaluations of the probe in vitro
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- A minimum of 0-6 months of laboratory experience.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
- Basic background in organic and physical chemistry acquired through bachelor-level courses.
- Basic background in biomedical electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging.
