Provide clinical and clerical support to the nursing and medical staff in assigned outpatient clinicMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School diploma or Equivalent.
2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

1. Obtain and record pertinent data such as height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure.
2. Obtain and/or instruct patients on how to obtain specimens.
3. After training and skills testing may perform assigned and/or all ordered POCT tests and maintain quality control testing and logs.
4. Provide assistance and information to patients directly or by telephone and refer appropriate issues or concerns to professional nursing staff or medical staff.
5. Open or close nursing operations in clinical areas as required.
6. Assist in reviewing patient's medical record, assure availability of diagnostic test results in record, and provide appropriately labeled forms for documentation.
7. Assist provider during patient examination by assembling necessary supplies and equipment and provide chaperone assistance.
8. Facilitate flow of patients into examination areas, to and from diagnostic testing areas, etc.
9. Assist provider when possible in completing requisitions or forms for patient examination or testing.
10. Facilitate patient compliance with medical plan of care by scheduling test appointments and may witness consent forms.
11. Maintain and use equipment according to hospital and departmental guidelines and policy.
12. Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
13. Comply with and participate in department and hospital quality assurance programs, data collection programs, quality control programs, etc.

1. Job requires pulling or lifting materials weighing 20 to 60 pounds, pushing carts, and positioning patients.
