Job Summary
As a Project Engineer - Public Civil Work, you will plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy civil projects. This role focuses on public infrastructure work, ensuring that projects meet design specifications, adhere to safety standards, and are delivered on schedule. You will work closely with project teams to support successful project execution across a range of public civil works initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop construction engineering activities for heavy civil public projects in Taylor, AZ.
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project management tasks and problem resolution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects adhere to drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage contract administration, submittals, and work plan creation, including field verification of quantities and progress tracking.
- Analyze CPM schedules and prepare monthly project cost reports for review with senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards on-site.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, public agencies, and project stakeholders to address and resolve project issues.
- Maintain an insurable driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience, preferably in heavy civil and public infrastructure projects.
- Proficient understanding of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated capability to assume responsibility and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with public civil work projects is a plus.
