What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Technician position at WWC Engineering?
WWC has an immediate opening for a survey technician to support our engineering and surveying teams on various projects throughout Montana, and surrounding states. This challenging position will require extensive field surveying in support of boundary surveys, land development, civil/site, oil & gas development, water resources and irrigation, transportation , municipal, and construction projects. Additional support is required in other field activities such as water sampling, wildlife surveys, and other field data acquisition. The successful candidate will be a self‑starting individual and will be given special consideration for knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD Civil3D. Travel is required, and you must have a valid driver's license.
Requirements: High School Diploma (Trade School Preferred); valid driver's license and insurable under WWC's vehicle insurance; minimum 2 years of experience in Surveying; working knowledge of boundary surveying, construction staking, topographic/planimetric surveying, etc.; experience with Trimble GPS and total station equipment; basic knowledge of AutoCAD; and self‑starting individual with good communication skills. Experience with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) surveying and current licensure preferred.
