Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
• Support various dental specialties including Endodontics and Prosthodontics as required.
• Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental terminology to enhance patient interactions.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols within a dental setting.
• Knowledge of dental procedures related to Endodontics and Prosthodontics is preferred.
• Experience using 3D scanners is a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to dental care.
• Previous experience working in a dental office or clinical setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
