Payroll Clerk

Job or Position Title: Payroll Clerk Location Wyandotte, OK JOB SUMMARY Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Ensures that employees are paid accurately and on time. Prepares the weekly payroll information by entering payroll data to the payroll system. Responsible for balancing payroll runs, producing federal, state, and local payments, and answering employee questions/troubleshooting issues. May provide support of governmental reporting. Duties/Responsibilities: Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions. Entering employee information and payroll data into the system. Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll. Payroll Taxes Garnishments Processing new employees, promotions, and terminations. Issuing statements detailing earnings and deductions. Submitting employee pay to the Bank. Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies. Maintaining and updating payroll records. Preparing periodic payroll reports and garnishments. Other duties as assigned. Collecting and verifying time sheets. Required Skills/Abilities: Experience working in a Payroll Department, or other fast-paced environment. Highly proficient in computer skills and technology. Accurate and meticulous in data entry. Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills. Exceptional calculation and memory skills. Good organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Wyandotte Gaming Commission license. Education/Experience: Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and three (3) years of general work experience in an office environment.
