Prepares memos,reports and correspondence.Proficient in oral and written communications. Analyze performance evaluation and assesment on a regular basis.
Basic knowledge in computer and microsoft word.
Ability to handle union issues and other related employee problems.
Works well as a team leader and as a member of a team.
Responsible in the overall operation of WIC Program management.
Collaborates with the sponsoring agency and NYSDOH Division of Nutrition staff of the projects and policies of the Local Agency.
Ensures the development of Local Agency's policy and procedure manual.
Participates in developing, implementing and monitoring WIC standards of care and the Performance Improvement system used within the Local Agency.
• Prepares, justifies and manages the Local Agency budget.
Serves as a member of the sponsoring agencies management team, advises needs, utilized data to document, monitor and evaluate Local Agency services, cost and outcome to justify
budget requests.
• Analyzes, summarizes and submit reports validating a minimum of l/6th of the Local Agency's nutrition services and administrative funds are expended for nutrition education and that a minimum of 1.4% of NSA funds are expended for breastfeeding promotion.
Ensures that the WIC program is in compliance with federal and state regulations and Local Agency policies.
Review and supervise in the preparation of the mandated nutrition education/outreach plan.
• Ensures that the policies and procedures of the NYSDOH and sponsoring agency are adhered to and within the specific standards.
Performs all other duties as required.
