The SWE0 will assist the contractor technical lead and customer in the development and maintenance of the SDK for AI Security & Risk Metrics. The candidate will perform in a junior level capacity for the AI Security Center to research, develop, build, test, deploy, and document cutting edge tools for robust security testing and monitoring of AI systems for the IC, DOD, NSS owners, and the Defense Industrial Base. This entry-level position is ideal for motivated individuals with foundational software engineering knowledge, a passion for AI and cybersecurity, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS / SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure and scalable software solutions supporting AI applications and tools.
- Write, test, and maintain high-quality code in accordance with best practices and project requirements.
- Assist in identifying and resolving software vulnerabilities and optimizing system performance.
- Support the integration of AI systems with existing platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with security standards.
- Document technical specifications, code changes, and development workflows for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to project goals.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, security trends, and AI advancements to inform development efforts.

Pay Range : $34.06 - $82.53 per hour
