What You'll do 

As the Public Relations & Content Manager at Wyffels Hybrids, you will manage media relations, create compelling content, and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels as it relates to the Wyffels brand. Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, you will act as the essential link between strategic direction and tactical execution-– providing strategic input and translating direction into successful execution. While this position has no direct reports, you will occasionally oversee and guide team members on larger-scale projects.

• Master the Wyffels Brand: Develop in-depth expertise in the Wyffels Hybrids brand to effectively communicate its identity to both internal and external audiences.

• Content Development Leadership: Lead content creation efforts to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all platforms, including training materials, sales collateral, social media, website content, and company presentations.

• Brand Consistency: Enforce brand standards across the organization to maintain a unified voice and messaging.

• Industry Insight Integration: Stay informed on industry trends impacting Wyffels Hybrids and provide strategic communication recommendations based on these insights.

• Content Strategy Alignment: Develop and execute a content strategy that supports the annual marketing campaign and overarching brand objectives.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with brand and product teams to strategize, plan, and develop content that resonates with target audiences.

• Content Creation and Management: Write, edit, proofread, and publish compelling content that engages audiences and reflects the Wyffels Hybrids brand.

• Media Relations Strategy: Design and implement media relations strategies to secure high-profile placements in print, broadcast, and online media.

• Public Relations Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for all public relations activities, including managing media inquiries and coordinating interview requests.

• Media Relationship Building: Leverage and expand relationships with key media contacts within business and industry sectors.

• Press and Article Creation: Craft press releases, byline articles, and other content to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

• Progress Reporting: Regularly update supervisors with progress reports, ensuring transparency and optimization of communication efforts.

• Media Performance Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on earned media coverage to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.

Qualification & What We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; AND

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on working directly with advertising creative and media strategies; AND

• Industry Expertise: A proven background in Agriculture is essential, with a solid understanding of industry trends, challenges, and best practices.

• Alternative Qualifications: A combination of education and relevant work experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and expertise for the role will also be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Experience coordinating various communications mediums to align with desired marketing objectives. 

• Media trained.

• Basic knowledge of digital and online development fundamentals.

• Professional writing skills are needed. 

• Ability to understand and internalize the brand platform and turn conceptual elements into communications that support and build the brand with target audiences.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate ideas in both the written and spoken word.

• Ability to present effectively to a group.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Ability to interpret technical information and translate it to simple, effective communications.

• Ability to synthesize complex information and situations to develop clear solutions and recommendations.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Ability to learn new and unfamiliar information.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements 

This role is primarily in an office setting but may occasionally travel within the geographic location of the business to attend meetings. In addition, this role does require the ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
