Summary
The California Director of Operations ' key purpose is directly leading and overseeing all departments and operational functions of the California market. This includes but is not limited to : managing Plant and Department managers (Inventory, Production, Packaging, and Facilities), building an effective team that is resilient and able to rebound in response to changing priorities, communicating effectively between all partnering departments and hubs, strategically planning and organizing production, packaging and the movement of finished goods to fill market needs, and providing regular output analysis and data presentation. For this position, you must be able to work a flexible schedule located in Greater Sacramento area with the ability to travel as needed to our Long Beach County location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
Oversee and lead facility strategy and implementationConnects daily work with the bigger WYLD pictureFollows sales and market trends daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually and partners with Sales and Sales Operations teams to ensure production meets demandEnsure that inventory and transfer compliance management is up to date : this includes CTS, production loss, returned or damaged product, transportation and inventory is never more than ±5% of reported quantities; is the subject matter expert on their state's compliance lawsFinalize items set for sale by approving and documenting in advance before production has started or product leaves the facility to consumersDrive results in all operational deliverables (production quotas, labor standards, profitability, budget management, people metrics)Distribution Operations OversightCoordinate with distribution and sales leadership to ensure team and fleet meet operational needs.Work with distribution team to create and communicate delivery schedules and event plans.Ensure efficient execution of product delivery, payment collection and transfers, and safety compliance.Manage relationships with third-party route providers and ensure smooth operations.Make recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training of the distribution teamOversee departmental leadership and staffClearly communicate with the Plant Manager and Department leaders, ensuring strategic information is funneled to the appropriate team membersPerform leadership's employee performance reviews and ensure leadership is performing employee reviews and feedback for locationsProvide coaching as needed to ensure all staff have the resources necessary to perform their duties correctlyResponsible for overseeing the hiring and terminatingImplement and comply with policies and proceduresCreate and maintain Operational budgetsMaintain and negotiate a steady and competitively priced supply chain of cannabis materialsEvaluate and develop strategies for improvement of departmental missions and functionsAble to sort through complicated, extensive, and often conflicting information to effectively attack and solve problemsAble to create a workplace culture where people feel motivated and are excited to bring their best selves to work and commit to the organization's objectivesAble to manage complex situations and crises with finesseOther duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Qualifications

5 years' experience of working in manufacturing or producing of goods, leading a large operational market or other relevant position preferably in the food and beverage industryRelevant experience with diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)Practical knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metricsExperience as a problem solver that thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment who possesses a high attention to detail, prioritization, time management and organizational skills with a positive, goal orientated attitudeWorking experience with MS Office and various business software including ERP and CRM solutionsStrong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; ability to professionally interact with managers, staff and officers at all levels of the organization with diplomacyNot afraid to take ownership; demonstrates a growth mindsetEffectively communicate information and respond to questions / suggestions from various levels within the companyPossess advanced mathematical skills : addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionPerform advanced visual quality inspections on productsState regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or olderWill be required to submit to a background checkMust obtain all state required : permits, licenses, certificationsTravel between sites will be requiredBenefits
As a exempt employee , you'll receive a competitive salary of $125,00 - $140,00 / yr, 11 paid holidays, unlimited PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
