Laundry Attendant

Job Summary: Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant is responsible washing and folding linens, such as bedding and towels, for our guests. May also perform functions in condos like deep cleans, dusting, and other projects. May also be asked to conduct item deliveries to guests.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include:

• Utilize proper sanitation materials to ensure cleanliness of resort supplies and linens
• Frequent prolonged standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, grasping, handling and lifting
• Frequently exposed to dirt, dust, and cleaning chemicals.
• Work quickly with efficiency on completing load count goals.
• Learn to use laundry equipment, i.e. commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Be able to program laundry equipment to support different load types.
• Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• Performs other duties as requested by management
• Reports to Resort Operations Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

a) Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

b) Knowledge and skills

• Detail oriented with organizational skills
• Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
• Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to give high priority to completing load count goals
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must maintain a professional appearance and a can-do, positive attitude towards all guests and staff
• Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed

c) Job experience

• Must have 1 or more years of experience in laundry in a business

d) Physical Demands

• The employee is required to move material and equipment up to 50 pounds, walk and stand frequently, kneel and crouch, and specific vision abilities include the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to climb ladders and stairs.
