Position Summary
The Position involves high Guest Contact and presents the first point of contact to our guests in the morning. The breakfast host / hostess is responsible for preparing and serving the daily free breakfast bar, greeting each guest at breakfast and ensuring that guests are 100% satisfied. Organizes guest table pick-ups on completion of meals in a timely manner. Maintain a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness. Work to resolve guest challenges, ensuring guest satisfaction. Breakfast shifts are 5 : 00am to 12 : 00. This position requires you to have a high level of friendliness and attentiveness to all guests, to deliver the best service up to brand standards. Being able to always multitask, while complying with food health code. Some basic duties include taking orders, displaying and stocking food during service hours, cleaning tables, cleaning workstation and display ware among others. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day.
Physical responsibilities include exerting physical effort in lifting / transporting at least 25 pounds. Push / pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time. Work environment : Work environment restaurant, and all areas of the hotel. The job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) : or Work Equivalent
Related Work Experience : A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food and beverages is preferred.
Requires Computer skills required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred. Experience with food & beverage. (POS) Point of Sale System is preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food and beverages is preferred. Good understanding of the English language, communication skills both written and verbal.
