Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Express Sales Manager to drive short-term and small group business for our hotel. This role focuses on quick-turnaround sales opportunities, catering to clients requiring immediate bookings, last-minute meetings, and small-scale events with revenues of $10,000 or less. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment, possesses strong relationship-building skills, and can efficiently convert leads into booked business.
Core Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Actively solicit, qualify, and close short-term and express bookings for group rooms, meetings, and catering events generating $10,000 or less in revenue.
- Respond promptly to incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, RFPs, and walk-ins to maximize conversion rates.
- Negotiate and prepare contracts, proposals, and banquet event orders (BEOs) to ensure client needs are met.
- Manage and convert leads from third-party platforms, direct inquiries, and repeat business opportunities.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize room rates and maximize revenue for short-term bookings.
Client & Event Coordination:
- Maintain a high level of client service, ensuring smooth communication and execution from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate with Catering, Banquets, and Front Office teams to ensure all event and group details are accurately communicated and executed.
- Conduct property site visits and client tours to showcase available event spaces, guest rooms, and amenities.
- Utilize Delphi (Amadeus Sales & Event Management Software) to track leads, create bookings, and update client records.
Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports on short-term group booking trends and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies targeting last-minute and express bookings.
- Stay up to date with market trends and competitor offerings to identify new revenue opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of sales experience in hospitality, event planning, or a related field.
- Proven success in high-volume, quick-turnaround sales environments.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Delphi (Amadeus Sales & Event Management Software), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of hotel revenue management strategies and pricing structures.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends based on client needs.
