What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club?
This position is responsible for receiving and delivering food and beverage orders in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner, resulting in a high level of member/guest satisfaction
1. Checks workstations for proper setup and cleanliness;
2. Greets members/guests and explains any specials/promotions;
3. Records the details of member/guest orders and repeats the order for accuracy;
4. Inputs the order into the Point of Sale to inform the kitchen of the order specifics;
5. Retrieves the order from the kitchen, ensures the order’s accuracy, and delivers the order to the table with proper condiments;
6. Abides by all state, federal, and company liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests;
7. Replenishes beverages as needed and checks for overall member/guest satisfaction;
8. Markets and serves upon request any dessert items or specialty coffees;
9. Presents the check to the member/guest promptly.
10. Supplements the bus-help by clearing and resetting the tables;
11. Replenishes condiments and restocks side stands;
12. Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards;
13. Possesses a basic knowledge of food/beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette;
14. Understands appropriate table settings, service-ware, and menu items;
15. Remembers, recites, and promotes a variety of menu items;
16. Transports large trays weighing up to 30 pounds trough a crowded room on a continuous basis;
17. Operates beverage and toast equipment;
18. Operates a keyboard and Point of Sale system to pre-check orders and close out checks;
19. Must be able to perform the following physical functions: standing, reaching, writing, talking, grasping, stretching, bending, stooping, walking, balancing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions;
20. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Food and Beverage Manager.
