Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Membership Sales Manager to lead membership acquisition and retention efforts for the Wynwood Chamber of Commerce. This role is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in sales, relationship-building, and business development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our membership base, building strategic partnerships, and representing the Chamber across Wynwood and Miami.
As this is a fully remote position, the Membership Sales Manager must be self-sufficient, organized, and driven while actively engaging with businesses and stakeholders in the Wynwood community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential new members, including local businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to increase membership acquisition and retention.
- Conduct outreach via phone calls, emails, social media, and networking events to build relationships with prospective members.
- Clearly communicate the value of chamber membership, including benefits, resources, and networking opportunities.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads, tracking progress and follow-ups using CRM tools.
- Build strong relationships with existing members to ensure engagement, renewals, and potential membership upgrades.
- Represent the Wynwood Chamber of Commerce at networking events, business meetings, and key industry gatherings to build partnerships and promote membership.
- Work closely with businesses in Wynwood and key partner businesses in Miami to enhance collaboration and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns that attract new members.
- Attend virtual meetings and occasional in-person events (as needed) to engage with prospects and members.
- Provide regular sales reports and insights on membership trends and opportunities for growth.
- Assist in identifying funding opportunities, including grants, to support chamber initiatives (grant writing experience is a plus).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or membership recruitment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in the hospitality, business, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with flexible schedules.
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and utilize CRM tools effectively.
- Knowledge of the Wynwood business community and Miami’s economic landscape is a plus.
- Grant writing experience is a plus.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to represent the organization professionally at events and business meetings.
Compensation:
- 100% Commission-Based (Unlimited earning potential based on performance).
