Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Assistant to join our highly experienced team. In this role, you will support our Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs), Sr. Loan Processor, Closer & Shipper, by assisting with the mortgage application process, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of loans, underwriting submission and closing & shipping preparation. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Mortgage Loan Employees in managing their pipeline and meeting deadlines.
- Collect, organize, and review financial documents from clients, such as tax returns, pay stubs, and credit reports.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
- Work with Sr. Loan Processor in preparing loan files for submission to underwriting and follow up on outstanding documentation.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of company products, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide updates to clients regarding loan status and progress.
- Assist with loan file compliance and ensure that all relevant documentation adheres to state, federal, agency, investor & bank guidelines.
- Support Loan Officers with marketing efforts, including preparing presentations and materials for prospective clients.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining client files, managing emails, and handling inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with mortgage software and loan origination systems. Experience with Encompass is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Has NMLS # or ability to obtain
