The base hourly Janitor rate is $17.00.
The base hourly Center Assistant rate is $15.59.

Job Summary:
Center Assistant: Under the direction of the Center Director provides general support and assistance in all aspects of the program which include but are not limited to assisting in the classroom and/or the bus, maintenance of child files, public relations and recruiting, answering phones, data entry and maintenance of building and grounds.
Janitor: This role involves cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, play areas, restrooms, and other common areas, ensuring the facility meets health and safety standards. This role maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for children, staff, and visitors. The janitor will also assist with waste management, supply restocking, and general maintenance tasks as needed. A focus on child safety and hygiene is critical, as well as the ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with children ranging from three to five years old, including those with special needs, and their families.
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and personalities.
- Strong communication skills are essential to interact with staff, children, families, and the broader community.
- Must have effective stress management strategies and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Flexibility is key; the ability to adapt to changing daily routines is required.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D. and be 18 years of age (state requirements).
- Must possess a foundational understanding of cleaning protocols and be able to perform duties in a way that consistently meets the cleanliness and hygiene standards required for educational institutions.
- Must attain additional training or certifications, which may be required by Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc.
