Position Summary:
Responsible for performing the administrative duties necessary to coordinate the accurate and timely payment of payroll to all employees of the Company.
Reports To:
Accounting Manager
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain time and attendance records throughout the properties, providing reports to all departments, for review, on a regular basis
- Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Post information pertaining to hours worked, deductions, paid time off, benefits, gratuities and direst deposits, into the computer in a timely, accurate manner
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial data produced in Payroll, including reports
- Maintain accurate records of all wage garnishments and child support orders
- Cooperate with the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies, providing detailed payroll information, as requested
- Handle limited banking functions pertaining to Payroll, and resolve any discrepancies in the General Ledger
- Prepare and post payroll related journal entries timely and assist in month end reconciliations
- Conduct the necessary research to effectively resolve payroll disputes from employees
- Prepare and issue paychecks, replace lost and/or stolen checks, and ensure accurate information for direct deposits
- Calculate and verify payroll adjustments
- Maintain good working relations through all channels of supervisors, fellow employees, and vendors supplies, etc.
- Follow instructions of the supervisor
- Efficiently perform duties in both calm and busy situations
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Experience performing same or similar job duties
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and payroll principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage figures and financial records
- Functional understanding of, and experience using, computers and computer programs applicable to the job duties
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to respond to common inquiries or complaints/questions/concerns from team members or regulatory agencies
- Critical analysis skills proven to effectively resolve issues, challenges, and/or concerns
- Friendly personality comfortable initiating greetings and conversations
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including both written and verbal forms
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
- Experience with payroll platforms, including Paychex
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully represent the company and the brand in all interactions.
- Highly motivated, self-directed and an organized approach to the role
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding and fast paced environment

Working Conditions
- Work is performed indoors.
- More than 40 hours a week will be required at times. Work hours subject to change.
- Must be able to work long hours under busy conditions.
- Duties may involve sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens
- Must be able to work in environments where smoking is permitted and can be loud with chatter, overhead music
- Must be able to repeat the same movements
- Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday
- Specific required movements include the following:
o Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry.
o Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate.
o Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
o Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
o Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
