What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Technician-Revenue Shop position at WYOMING RENTS?
Shop Technicians diagnose, service, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild engines of construction, mining on-highway trucks, forklifts, components and power systems equipment. Various levels of knowledge, skills and abilities in the Essential Functions listed below are required and will determine job placement. including prior experience.
- Apprentice I : Basic understanding of mechanical tools and service procedures. Certificate from technical school, one year of heavy equipment experience, or possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Apprentice II : Basic component identification and understanding of the functions of various Caterpillar mechanical systems. Two years of heavy equipment experience.
- Shop Technician : Understand the operation, troubleshooting and repair of various Caterpillar mechanical systems Four years heavy equipment experience.
- Master Shop Technician : Complete understanding and the advanced ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various Caterpillar mechanical systems. Ten years of heavy equipment experience.
