Job Summary:
As the Salesperson at Wyoming Welding & Machine your primary focus will be to expand our customer base and build and nurture strong relationships with our customers, ensuring their needs are met with precision and professionalism. You will understand their unique challenges and provide tailored solutions that add value to their business. Through proactive communication and an understanding of our services you will collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality results that exceed customer expectations. This position is responsible for gathering and organizing leads, creating detailed quotes, and maintaining up-to-date customer information. As our first salesperson you will have the unique opportunity to stand up and build a brand-new sales department from scratch. You will be able to develop sales strategies, establish sales processes, and implement systems to ensure the smooth operation and future scalability of the sales department. As you build and shape the department, you will have the freedom to design and execute your vision while closely collaborating with the management team. As the company expands, this role has the potential to evolve into a Sales Manager or Sales Executive position, offering long-term leadership opportunities. By consistently providing exceptional service and maintaining a customer-first mindset, you will drive new relationships, long-term partnerships, and contribute to the growth of both our customers and Wyoming Welding & Machine.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Design and implement systems to generate, track, and nurture sales leads. Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients by researching market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
- Develop Sales Processes: Build efficient and scalable processes for lead qualification, quoting, order management, and customer relationship management (CRM) integration.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with production, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless project delivery, from quote creation to project completion, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Build the Sales Department: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the company’s sales department, including defining key performance metrics, sales processes, and growth strategies.
- Create Sales Strategies: Identify new business opportunities and establish sales strategies to target key industries such as construction, energy, aerospace, and manufacturing.
- Drive Business Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by closing deals and building long-term relationships with customers. Adjust sales strategies based on market trends and feedback.
- Implement Sales Tools and Systems: Select and implement CRM and other tools to improve efficiency, track sales activities, and analyze performance.
- Opportunity for Leadership Growth: As the company grows, transition into a Sales Manager or Sales Executive role, overseeing the expansion of the sales team, mentoring new hires, and driving the overall sales direction of the company.
- Reporting: Regularly report on sales metrics, market conditions, and growth opportunities to senior management.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing, welding, or industrial services sectors.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and prints.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
