Position: Medical Receptionist/Technician

Job Summary:

WyoVision is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing excellent patient care and will embody our core attributes: helpful, courteous, kind, and cheerful. This position involves conducting preliminary eye screenings, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This person will be the first person patients encounter before seeing the doctor, so they will need to help prepare the patients for their appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening tests, including visual fields, fundus photos, and autorefraction.
• Operate Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine.
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
• Accurately enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR).
• Complete orders in the record system.
• Enter patient medications into the system.
• Prepare patients to see the doctor by gathering relevant information and ensuring they are comfortable.
• Establish a trusting relationship with clients, and always conduct business with polite consideration.
• Actively participate in creating a friendly and welcoming environment for all patients.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in, or a willingness to learn, conducting visual field tests, fundus photos, and autorefraction.
• Experience using an OCT machine.
• Ability to use electronic health record systems, complete orders, and enter patient medications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
