What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN PRN position at Wythe County Community Hospital?
As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Director of Physician Practices
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required License/Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Licensed Practical Nurse
Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA or Compaq licensure and in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
Minimum Education
Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
Minimum Work Experience
Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds preferred.
