What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Wythe County Community Hospital?
Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice under the supervision of an assigned physician.
Reports to: Director of Physician Practices
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Athena and Meditech experience preferred.
Required License/Certification
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
[Virginia, United States] Nurse Practitioner
In good standing with the Board of Health Professionals.
Must possess Controlled Substance Registration Certificate by the Dept of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration prior to the first day of seeing patients.
Minimum Work Experience
Previous experience in a community health setting preferred.
