What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Pathologist PRN position at Wythe County Community Hospital?
Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs. Provides education regarding prevention and treatment of injury and disease to patients and to the community. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment options and care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Reports to: Mgr - Rehab Svs
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required License/Certification
Speech/Language Pathologist from the State of Virginia and in good standing with the board.
BLS required within 30 days of hire.
Minimum Work Experience
Two years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferred.
