Job Overview:
X-Bow Systems is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to manage and stage enterprise IT equipment, provide first-level troubleshooting for IT support tickets, and oversee mobile device management for PCs, Macs, iOS, and Android devices. This role will also support the asset management program, including tracking, assigning, updating, and cataloging inventory, as well as managing device life cycles. Preferred experience with Microsoft Intune is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, modify, and perform minor repairs on computer hardware and software systems.
- Resolve technical requests and troubleshoot issues to maintain staff productivity.
- Test computer components to ensure system functionality.
- Assist in designing and implementing networks.
- Consult with users to determine hardware and software needs and assist with order placement.
- Enhance computer system capabilities by studying technical applications and making recommendations.
- Test compatibility of new programs with existing systems.
- Gather data to evaluate technical purchasing options.
- Confirm program objectives and specifications by testing new programs and making necessary modifications.
- Evaluate vendor-supplied software for compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
- Install software and applications to optimize workflow.
- Train users on new software through various channels, including tutorials, manuals, and digital instruction pages.
- Document hardware and software updates.
- Stay informed on technical advancements through workshops, publications, and professional societies.
- Prepare reference materials and operation instructions for users.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or other MDM platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 account creation and license management.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff.
