Job Description - Chemical Process Program Manager
As a Chemical Process Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development, demonstration, test, and delivery of a chemical nitration manufacturing plant. Your role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of this capability on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and managing the teams and resources involved. Your leadership and organizational skills will be key in aligning program objectives with business goals and technical requirements.
- Program Planning and Execution
- Develop a comprehensive program plan that outlines goals, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
- Oversee the execution of the program plan, ensuring milestones are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain within the program.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation to meet program objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all program stakeholders, including team members, executives, and government representatives and external partners.
- Communicate program progress, challenges, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders, maintaining transparency and collaboration.
- Risk Management, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that may impact program objectives, particularly those related to requirements, technical and manufacturing challenges.
- Resolve complex issues and conflicts within the program, applying effective problem-solving skills.
- Evaluate program performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned into future program phases and company-wide initiatives.
- Customer Interface and Management
- Manage and support customer interaction including contacts management, IPT leadership, and detailed customer briefs.
- Track and manage customer contract requirements and deliverables as well as funding and financials.
Basic Qualifications
- X-Bow is interested in motivated self-starters with excellent communication and technical skills, as well as having broad interest and experience in both leadership and technology.
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years' experience in a technical field (Aerospace/Chemical preferred)
- Proven track record of managing complex programs with multiple projects and cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
