Job Summary: X-Bow Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in circuit design for safety-critical applications, high voltage pulsed power systems, PCB layout, microcontroller/FPGA integration, and testing. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical circuits for safety-critical applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Work on high voltage pulsed power systems, including design, analysis, and implementation.
- Create and optimize PCB layouts for complex electronic systems, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
- Integrate microcontrollers and FPGAs into designs, including firmware development and debugging.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure performance and safety requirements are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and troubleshooting efforts.
- Document design processes, test results, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering technologies.
Desired Requirements:
- 10 years directly applicable industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in circuit design, high voltage pulsed power, PCB layout, and microcontroller/FPGA integration.
- Familiarity with parts manufactured to meet MIL-STD-1901a and MIL-STD-1316 standards.
- Familiarity with the DoD munitions safety process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with simulation and design software (e.g., Altium, MATLAB, etc.) is a plus.
